The cdnglobalsoul
The impetus behind this website is a Canadian, global, soul (cdnglobalsoul) – born in Canada but who grew up in the global south – more specifically, Latin America. Over the years the cdnglobalsoul has been privileged to engage with people around the globe. An incurable “cosmocrat”, the cdnglobalsoul can regularly be found in various corners of the world participating in collaborative, innovative and educational global ventures. Canada is presently the cdnglobalsoul’s home.
Raised by adventurous Canadian International Workers, the cdnglobalsoul grew up in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. Following high school graduation in Ecuador, the cdnglobalsoul returned to Canada to study, earning a Bachelor’s degree before returning to Latin America.
Several years in La Paz, Bolivia proved to be a watershed phase in the cdnglobalsoul’s life. To this day, Bolivia holds a special place in the cdnglobalsoul’s life. Returning to Canada the cdnglobalsoul got married to DJ and shortly thereafter completed a Masters degree. Together they returned to Latin America, this time to Mexico City, where they tied in with a dynamic community of faith, making a difference in the Northwest section of that great metropolis. Following “a season” in the Mexico, they decided to do the same thing all over again for “a spell” in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Health “stuff” brought them back to Canada, where the cdnglobalsoul got involved as a Professor in a small prairie College that specialized in providing young adults with an opportunity to make a global impact.
The “teaching and learning” environment has been a significant platform from which to carry out the cdnglobalsoul’s life mission: to “… foster innovation, enhance collaboration and inspire the supremacy of God” in and with those who are part of the cdnglobalsoul sphere of influence. PhD. studies in Chicago, expanded the cdnglobalsoul’s perspective. A “shack” in the Canadian foothills is what the cdnglobalsoul calls “home” … a place to store “earthly stuff” and from which—when not teaching—“enjoy leaving” for various corners of the globe in order to explore, collaborate, reflect and learn!
